Waste sorting guidelines

Our commitment to the environment

At CottageParks, we are committed to protecting the environment. Waste reduction and sorting are at the heart of our actions.

We thank you for your participation in this major challenge for our seaside resort.

Sorting has never been easier!

At La Tamarissière, you’ll find 2 sorting zones: one at the complete entrance with composter, packaging, glass and household waste; then one near the “Verdisses” sanitary block with packaging and household waste only.

Our French garbage cans are made up of 30% bio-waste, 40% packaging and 30% household waste. Our challenge is to reduce our household waste by 70%, which will then be landfilled! No recovery is possible, and we’re polluting our soil.

Step one : Packaging and glass.

Use the shopping bag to transport these materials.

Yellow column or yellow wheeled bin: All your food and household packaging (paper/cardboard, plastic or metal), whether clean or dirty. Please do not put them in plastic bags; they must be deposited loose.

Green column : All your glass bottles and jars. Even lids are accepted here!

Second step : organic waste

30% of our organic waste will no longer be considered as waste, but as a resource to give back to the earth a material useful to our environment: Use your bio bucket provided. (For campers, you can ask for one at reception).

Composter: Meal scraps: peelings, eggshells.

Please note that mussels, oysters, fish and meat scraps go into your household waste. Bread can be used by birds. Bread is not useful for compost, as it does not decompose.

Laste but not least : anything left over in the transparent bags provided.

Black bin: Anything that can’t be recycled or composted. This is your household waste.

Cotti thanks you for helping him in his mission, and has a few surprises in store for the most assiduous of you.
